Yesterday, Apple made the 2013 Mac Pro available through their “Certified Refurbished” online store at a 15% discount. These Mac Pros have been previously owned, however they go through Apple’s strict refurbishing process. The models available range from the base quad core model, all the way up to a loaded 12 core beast.

While these Mac Pros have been refurbished, they are pretty much as good as new. The only sign they have been used may be minor cosmetic flaws. Apple says they are 100% functional, and come with a standard 1 year warranty. AppleCare is available for the refurbished Mac Pro just the same as the new models, extending the total warranty and support to 3 years.

If you’re not sure if the Mac Pro is right for you, check out my article comparing it to the iMac.
