On Monday, CentOS announced the availability of CentOS 7. This comes less then a month after the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

CentOS 7 brings many new features including docker, Gnome3, systemd, firewalld, GRUB2, Linux Containers, and a move to XFS as the default filesystem. Core components have also been updated including the Linux kernel to version 3.10.0.

CentOS 7 is currently only available on the x86_64 architecture. A 32bit build will be coming via community involvement, however a time frame has not been set.
